For the Cause? Or Jus because?

St Patty’s

A really good day, lots of green, lots of drinking. I usually stay away from the days’s, activities, because St Pat Is not my Patron Saint, and the logic that it’s a day where one can take a break from lent activities does not do it for me*… I was tempted to log into G- Chat (Gave it up for lent), Been tempted to log into Facebook (Decided not to log into my FB profile till after lent) I miss my people**…

Anyway… the budget is restrictive, the weather is good, (the girls are probably already drunk), but most importantly I haven’t been out in a good minute… By out I mean to MY type of scene, great music, no lines, good people (beauty of mid week parties). I am going to go out by myself, cus when I go out with other people, I usually end up not actually being with them (unless if it’s a girl… naturally).. à*** you’re boy starts dancing etc

It has been documented that APT (is Tunga’s Spot ..yes , no really yes, I insist use google, it’s allowedà*** by google I mean my previous posts) !!! I loved it, I have had 3 Birthday parties there… The reason why I love it, is cus like minded people get to meet, mostly the artistic type. The people that are slightly unorthodox, people that make their own lane.. (met the beatminerz, talib kweli, jean grae, q tip, quest love, and pharoah monche out there - and just regular good people)
I say this cus its not the hairstyles or dressing, it’s the conversations you have out there.. Anyway I always felt at home at apt. The Dj became a mate and now thru twitter I realize he is actually on some big time celeb stuff..

But… we are justifying tonight’s excursion because

1. Today is St Patrick’s Day - The Patron Saint of Nigeria --> *** #fact
2. Apt got closed 3 months ago, the dj’s that held it down are doing it again, new venue. Richmedina is the king of afro pop, in the US that means #fela (no really Google, is STILL you’re friend check it out)
3. I Can
4. Why live in New York If you Cant enjoy the Patron Saint of Nigeria?
5. Weather is good for now.. Gona get cold on Friday again!

I am doing this because, I have a cause…
All my hiphop heads, suck my shamrock! Come to NY and we can have some fun, that’s my cause!
